First off bring a bottle of wine, this is often a welcomed gesture towards the host and it ensures there’s going to be a drink you will enjoy! Dress respectively – there’s nothing worse than your own guests showing you up with an outrageous outfit! Don’t forget there may be people there you need to impress such as at a work party, therefore you need to be aware of your actions and alcoholic intake (!) as party etiquitte is vital. When considering party etiquitte for a less formal occasion, remembering basic manners is the way to go! This means remembering you’re at someone else’s house or venue, so respect their property – this includes being sick, if you’re going to do it aim for the toilet! If the venue is someone’s house respect the neighbours, we’ve all experienced a night during which we have been held awake by neighbours partying perhaps a little too hard! And lets not forget how you behave that night has the possibility of being discussed the morning after – you have been warned!

Keep your eyes peeled for nightlife events in the local area such as a themed night in a restaurant bar or a popular band performing on a reunion tour in the best clubs around. Lets face it, no one has had the night of their life when they’re just not in the mood for it. Therefore it’s vital to set the mood yourself! Planning and making arrangements is half the fun, it may not have to be every detail but a vague chain of events may really help to create the right mood for a great night out! Perhaps try something different or edgy, such as a cabaret evening or a trip to the theatre, who knows you might even end up enjoying yourself! This will help capture the evening, and create the possibility of embarrassing and funny moments being caught on camera, priceless!
